    Series: Armor of God

    Speaker: Carey Waldie

As Kim and I look to change our ministry focus from leading this dynamic church. Our prayer is that Living Hope (you all) would continue in the powerful unrelenting purposes God created for the church. To call the world to the worship of the one true God, to use your gifts and energies to tell the world the good news, to build the saints in discipleship and to be salt and light to a darkened world. Our goal is to be sent by one of the greatest groups of believers I have ever known. I am not a fan of “goodbye’s” but rather “see you later.” Kim and I covet your prayers and financial support during this season as it still takes people, power and provision to accomplish God’s dreams. We love you.

    Series: Armor of God

    Speaker: Carey Waldie

Today we continue our series on the Armor of God looking at the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. God’s Word is a powerful weapon in the hands of a skilled warrior. It defines reality, gives us discernment and provides us with great authority. Jesus, during his 40 day fast used this weapon to fend off strong temptations of his enemy. How much more should we know God’s Word to chart the course for our lives?

    Series: Armor of God

    Speaker: Carey Waldie

Today we continue our series on the Armor of God looking at the shield of faith. Everyone has faith in something. Our faith is only as good as the object of our faith. Our faith must be grounded in truth. Our faith must be active and not just a decoration piece. We must take care to bathe our faith in the anointing of the Holy Spirit and guard it against ideas that will erode and subvert our trust in the God who made us, loves us and has called us to his mission of redemption.

    Series: Armor of God

    Speaker: Carey Waldie

Today we continue our series on the Armor of God by looking at how we guard our feet. Paul writes, “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.” Peace is a precious commodity today. Only through a relationship with God can we have both peace with God and the peace of God.

    Series: Armor of God

    Speaker: Carey Waldie

Today we continue our series looking at the Armor of God. We looked at the belt of Truth and today we will look at the Breastplate of Righteousness. Righteousness is an important part of who we are as Christians. Christ died for our righteousness. Not a righteousness of legalism or religious pressure but a conferred holiness before God and an internal sense of being set apart for God’s purposes. When we wear the breastplate well, we guard our heart for what God loves and protect it from what God hates.

    Series: Armor of God

    Speaker: Carey Waldie

Today we declare a 40 day fast so that we can draw closer to God, and see the chains of oppression break in the lives of people. We begin a series called, “Fight the Good Fight” where we look to learn from Paul’s writing on the armor of God in the book of Ephesians. Today we look at the belt of truth. Jesus said he was the way, the truth and the life. In Chris-tianity, truth is always embodied in a loving, personal God.
